Are tooth charms for everyone?
You must be 18+ to get a tooth charm or under 18 with parental consent. Your parent/guardian and proper identification must be present. Tooth charms can not be applied to any artificial tooth surface such as crowns, caps, veneers or dentures.
Tooth Charms are not recommended if you are currently using a clear plastic retainer (Invisalign, Smile Direct) as it will not fit properly over the charm. If you are using a wire type retainer, we encourage you to bring it to your appointment so that we can ensure the charm is placed where it won’t interfere with it.
Are tooth charms permanent?
Tooth charms are considered semi permanent. They generally last anywhere between one month to one year. The longevity of tooth charms depends entirely on the individual. The natural acidity of your saliva and diet will affect how long it lasts for. This also depends on your at home care, the size of the charm, and placement on the tooth. They may be removed at any time by your dentist or dental hygienist. We do not offer tooth charm removal.
What glue is used for tooth charms? Is it safe?
The procedure of bonding tooth charms is safe and easy, no drilling is required. The process takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Our trained professionals use a dental grade etch and adhesive to bond the tooth charms to the tooth. An LED light is used to cure the adhesive to ensure a long lasting bond. The process is very similar to the technique for attaching traditional braces to teeth.
Can I still brush and whiten my teeth with tooth charms?
Yes! Always practice good dental hygiene. You will want to still brush around the charm so you don’t get any build up. Your dentist will still be able to clean around it as well. Do not use an electric tooth brush within 48 hours after application.

Tooth charm aftercare

Do not pick at or play with your new charm!

No eating or drinking anything but water for the first 1-2 hours

Avoid hard foods and candies for the first 12 hours

Do not brush directly over the charm for the first 12 hours

No electric tooth brush use for the first 48 hours

Resume proper dental hygiene after this time period. Always brush and floss as recommended by your dentist.
